Seven SUP titles in the ICAS bookprize longlist, including Contesting Malayness, Dialogues with Chin Peng, Yaa Baa, The Singapore River, Gender Practice in Contemporary Vietnam, Earthenware in Southeast Asia, and Acehnese and Other Histories of Sumatra.

The past week has seen launches of two new, very interesting online databases of images and printed matter from key libraries. British Library Images Online has thousands of images and makes them available for download and purchase. The New York Public Library Digital Gallery has 250,000 images available online, in specific collections. Not so strong on Asia, but very good on design and ephemera.
